Chipotle BBQ wings (cooked in the crock pot) and baked garlic parmesan fries for dinner. Not super healthy, but still tasted good.

Pumpkin carving time again! I can not even begin to top last year’s pumpkin, but I think these two turned out pretty well.

I finally got around to watching Fast Five after my dad picked it up for me today. Thanks Dad! I enjoyed watching it!!!

This meal was actually from yesterday, but it was absolutely delicious! I made spaghetti with homemade pesto and baked stuffed turkey meatballs, and my sister made red velvet cheesecake brownies for dessert (I made the pretty swirls).

Linn County Courthouse.....I had a subpeona for Grand Jury for work for a shoplifting and drug incident. Hmmmm.....think I need a new job!

In case you haven’t noticed there has been a “fall” theme the last few days....so just one more for now. Days like this make me want to just sit back and smile. :-)

Some beautiful trees on a road just outside of town. I love the double row of trees and how the fall colors all mesh together. God sure does bless us with some stunning scenery!

Made a drive out through Waterloo before heading to work today and I stopped at one of the picnic areas. While the picnic areas are deserted, there is still something simple and appealing about their emptiness.

Today is my parent’s wedding anniversary. Through good times and bad they have stuck it out and today are celebrating having been married for 32 years.

This little “friend” has been on my deck all day long. I’m thinking he must like it here.....unfortunately, I’m not feeling quite so friendly since I almost stepped on him.

I hate the first early warm days of fall, after the cold, because they bring with them an invasion of bugs......fly’s and lady bugs everywhere! Ugh!

Yes, yes, yes.....
I know it isn’t even Halloween and yes this is Thanksgiving turkey on display at Wal-mart (please keep in mind Christmas stuff began appearing in September though).

Trying something new.....someone I work with recommended this chocolate wine. I was intrigued, so I decided to give it a try. The wine is pretty strong at first, but it is so smooth....and the chocolate after taste in your mouth is quite lovely!

Dinner tonight.....pork shoulder and veggies that cooked in the crock pot all day. It was delicious!!! The meat was so tender it just fell apart, no knife needed. Crock pot’s are such wonderful things!

Every year Wal-mart chooses a local school, and recognizes the teachers for all their hard work and contributions to the lives of children. Each store also gives away ten $100 gift cards to the teachers at the selected school. This year I was the coordinator for my store, and today was our “celebration,” and here’s the cake I had our bakery make for the Teacher Rewards Program.

Found these empty tool boxes at work just before I left tonight. Someone emptied the boxes and walked out the door with the tools. Pretty sure they didn’t just fit in someone’s pocket or purse. Hmmmmm!

Ariana: 1--Vacuum cleaner: 0
Ariana loves to attack the vacuum cleaner whenever I use it.....today I think she got the best of it as the little rubber bumper strip has been killed, and somehow she seems so satisfied with herself as she lays there on the couch looking at it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACLYN!!!
23 years ago I remember getting a note at school telling me to go to walk to the library where my Grandma Bessie and Aunt Helen worked. I remember hanging out there part of the afternoon and then hiding under the desk when my dad came to pick me up, refusing to come out.....all because I wanted a brother, not a sister. LOL!

Found this Batman sweatshirt at work.....gotta love the ears on the hood! Really, what normal person would wear this (oh, wait....is that me wearing it--does this make me a person of Wal-mart)?
