Soooooo NOT a fan of snakes!!! Came across this one just outside the house. Grabbed a camera because I thought it would make a good picture with the snake and the grass and weeds. Feeling pretty happy that I didn’t step on it or have it slither across my foot or anything--that would have been bad, very bad!

Today was another nice day so I had the window open again. Both Annabelle and Ariana love to be near an open window and this time Ariana is sure that she has won control of being at the window.....we’ll see.

Spent some time reading and meditating on Philippians 4:6-7 today. I find my heart and mind feeling anxious about the so many things going on in my life right now. These verses serve as a reminder that I need to give it all to God in prayer, because it is His to deal with, and live life in His continual presence. I prayed for peace to surround me as I go about my day today, and for God to use me as He sees fit.

I’ve been doing a little pleasure reading (a nice change). New Hampshire Weddings, a romance book about 3 Christian women who find their lives are lacking peace, family, and direction. Yet in each instance love emerges in the midst of difficult life circumstances. I know it’s fiction, but I find these stories encouraging and uplifting to my spirit.

I can’t believe how warm it actually got today....a whopping 75 degrees. The sunshine felt so nice. Took Annabelle and Ariana out to play, and treated myself to a bowl of Strawberry-Kiwi Sherbet. Here’s hoping to a whole weekend of nice weather!

Gotta love grilling!!! Pork Chops marinated in a Louisiana Red Pepper sauce, grilled corn, loaded mashed potatoes, and sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls. It was a very good Sunday lunch!

So nice to be home again. I really missed my “girls” while I was gone. Just enjoyed watching them unwind and relax now that I’m back.....today they were snoozing on the couch, but still keeping a very watchful eye on me.
