A good friend of mine and I discovered that via the Amazon website we can lend each other kindle books. I just finished The Hunger Games. It was a great read, and I’m ready to read the next book in the trilogy.

I went for a little walk down an old logging road today. Saw this piece of tree trunk and just thought it looked bright and colorful.

And the logging continues....while it is interesting to see some of the different kinds of machinery used, it is sad to see the beautiful trees disappear.

This machine strips all the bark off the tree,

This one picks up the trees and either stacks them up, or loads them on the truck.

I developed a roll of film that I recently discovered. It was from a couple of summers ago....loved seeing the pictures of the baby chipmunk clan that lived in a tree for the summer. I remember them being entertainment for much of the summer.

I received my cap and gown in the mail today. While I won’t be attending the graduation, it is nice to have a reminder of what I have accomplished. :-)

Took some engagement photos for my friend Sarah and her fiancee Barrett. I’m usually more of an outdoor, nature photography type person, but I had a great time doing their pictures. Sarah and I chose some great locations....so I’m sharing a few of my favorites of the pictures I took of them.

Spent the day with a friend from work today. We went down to Springfield, OR and visited a couple people we know, had lunch, and did some window shopping at the mall. While in the mall we hit up the new Cabela’s here in Oregon.

I splurged and treated myself to something I’ve been wanting for quite a while now....a Kindle. Now I don’t have to get rid of books because I’ve run out of shelf room since my Kindle will hold approximately 3500 books. Yay!
