I’ve been working in women's clothing for this entire week, so I had plenty of opportunities to see everything that is new for the season.....went back after work tonight and bought myself this shirt. Now I can’t wait to wear it!

Got the new heat plate for my grill today. It is such an improvement over the old one that was falling apart--don't you think? Woohoo, summer cooking here I come!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNABELLE!!!

It’s hard to believe Annabelle is 11 years old. It seems like it wasn’t too long ago that she was the little puppy who claimed me as her owner. When I was looking for a dog I was drawn to her because she would follow me around and would bark and cry when I moved out of her reach--it was those things that sealed the deal that we were meant for each other. Then I remember the long drive home from Portland to eastern Oregon where she sat curled up in my lap the entire drive home.  In these past 11 years we have had lots of good times, and I have been so blessed to have her in my life as waits for me to come home, senses when I’m down and loves on me, has such joy and excitement for life, and she loves me unconditionally. I know time with our pets is limited, but I look forward to more years together. Happy Birthday my Annabelle girl--I love you!!!

A lovely Easter meal.....my dad did the ham, my mom the mashed potatoes and carrots, and I made the crescent rolls and the lemon cheesecake. I should also mention that this was my first attempt at a cheesecake made from scratch....it turned out well, and tasted delicious! (There will definitely be more cheesecake cooking in my future.)

Sometimes when I am bored I take the alphabet letters on my fridge and see how many words I can make that are connected together (without overlapping--like in a crossword). I always strive to use as many letters as possible....only had 4 left over today.

There’s this house just down the road from me, and every time I drive past it I always think about how I should stop and take some pictures. So, today I did just that since it actually wasn’t raining for a few minutes. Took them in both black and white and color because they look so different....think the black and white gives it a little more charm and makes it look more rustic and old fashioned than it really is.

Today’s lunch was grilled beef tri-tip, garlic mashed potatoes, and something new--grilled stuffed jalapeno and sweet peppers. The stuffed peppers were fantastic.....there wasn’t a single one left.

I have now tried three different pairs of shoe inserts (as well as 4 different pairs of shoes) trying to obtain foot and heel relief while working.....no luck so far. :-(

My bed is built up on about a 4 foot high loft, and Ariana loves jumping up on the bed for bedtime snuggles, and as you can see today she is playing queen of the bed.
